For those who never heard of this story.
About 20 yrs ago, a 12 yr old walked into a card store & left with a mint ryan rookie for $12.
The story goes that the owner hired someone with no knowledge of cards & it was that person who sold the card, marked "1200", to the boy who asked "is it $12?"
It wasnt until a couple of other kids came in & asked the owner if he had more "$12 ryan rookies" that the owner realized out the card was sold.
The owner sued saying the boy knew & was like stealing.
The outcome was both parties agreed to auction it for charity & sold for $5k
