Nationals pitching prospect Lucas Giolito has re-injured his right elbow and will visit Dr. Lewis Yocum.

Giolito's professional career didn't get underway until mid-August because of problems with his right (pitching) elbow. And now those same elbow problems have returned. Giolito, 18, was the 16th overall pick in June's MLB Amateur Draft. He seems likely to be shut down until next spring, no matter what Dr. Yocum finds.

Rendon has 89 ABs this season and Giolito's health is a big issue. I don't think the Nats should draft another injured high upside draft pick next season.
