First off, I am a lifelong Red Sox fan. It is easier for a non Red Sox fan to like him right now (especially a Yankee fan).
Some background...
1. I though he was an idiot on ESPN.
2. I have met him twice. He is very personable.
3. I thought he was a terrible hire for the Red Sox.
All of that being said, as the this wasted season has worn on, I think I have come to like him. I don't blame him for how bad the Sox are...all the numbers show that the decline started well before he arrived and several of the players just had to go. I think the bolder he gets the better he gets. His apologizing for not being fired were great and his recent west coast interviews show some balls.

Am I really nuts or just stupid. I've been called worse. What do you think?
