Press Pass Sell Sheet

The standard sized base cards feature a full color shot of the named driver. The card front designs vary depending on the sub-set the cards hail from. All of the fronts have heavy graphics and silver foil the border and frame the cards. The card fronts will include the driver and team name, sub-set theme, and set name. All of the base cards are serial numbered out of 399 on the card fronts. The card backs have a smaller cropped photo as the same on the front. The backs also contain lengthy personal highlights, record setting achievements or relevance to the sub-set they are included in.

What I pulled:
16 unique cards
7 base set cards
6 serial numbered inserts and parallel cards (including the box topper)
2 relic cards
1 autographed relic card

Base card designs:

Inserts and Parallels:
Truex Red #/10
Ambrose Gold #/99
Logano gold #/50
Edwards #/299
Busch #/299
Gordon Green #/20 (box-topper)

The Hits:
Labonte sheet metal #/75
Classic Collections Roush Fenway Racing
Stenhouse, Edwards, Biffle trip sheet metal #/25
Danica Patrick auto, three color patch and sheet metal #25

2013 Press Pass Showcase is another high end racing product. The card designs are sharp and worthy of a high end product. You will see the occasional horizontal design for the team cards. A huge plus for the set is that EVEY card is serial numbered! The parallels look great and I really like the acetate showroom inserts! My big hit of course was the Danica Patrick dual relic auto! The only real con for 2013 Press Pass Showcase is inherent to the type of product it is. You will need some serious money to try and get the base set by box busting. The hits are amazing and may pay off for you in the end if you flip cards, but by and large I would not recommend 2013 Press Pass Showcase for set builders and prospectors.

The Bottom Line: I give 2013 Press Pass Fan Fare a buy rating. I am not assign a letter grade as it scored VERY well in only three variables. I won on this lottery ticket, but if you are hoping to complete a base set, you are better to buy singles.

The Final Score:
Final Ratings (Out of 10):
Base set collect-ability: N/A
Big-hit Hunter: 10/10
Prospector Hunter: NA
Value: 9/10
Overall Quality: 8/10

Overall: 27/30 (90%)
A big drawback is that you will need several boxes (read money) to complete the base set.

Thanks to Press Pass for making this review possible!
