So I had a lotof fun doing the dream roster for the twins, with all of the HOF on the team I think we could match upquite well with all teams. I thought, what if it was restricted to just theseasons when the players played for my team (bye bye Molitor and Winfield) Therules are as followed if you want to challenge my All Time Twins FantasyRoster:

Rules:
1. Choose 9 hitters and 10 pitchers
2. You may only choose one player, one time onthe team
3. Player must play for your home team in theyear you choose
4. If your player was traded mid season, youmay only count the stats accumulated while on your chosen team
5. Hitters must have played the position youplace him on in the season you choose a minimum of 10 times (ifbaseball-reference.com does not section out OF, you may place in any OFposition)
6. Your DH may play any position
7. Scoring will be rotisserie and updated aspeople submit their teams. We’re trying to go head to head with other teams, ifthere are fans of your team, work with them to improve your roster.
8. Categories are: (AVG/OBP/R/HR/RBI/SB – ERA/WHIP/W/SV/KPer 9/BB Per 9)

This is amoderate amount of work but I found it pretty fun. I would love to see howother teams match with mine.

Wow that looks like it took a while. Awesome job though. I think the Yankees would be INSANE if I went through and looked at every season for their best. Maybe I'll give it a try but as of right now I don't know if there is an efficient way to do this.

Edit: I think I'm going to try for the Yanks. Once I'm done if any other Yanks fans want to chime in that'd be awesome!

Here's my picks. Everyone chime in if you have some subs you think I should make. The bottom 3 or 4 guys in the rotation took me a while because I kept going back and forth and I needed saves which I got from Lyle. Tried to pick low ERA's, high win totals, High HR's, and High BA's. Figured I had to get Henderson in there or else I wouldn't have much speed.

Awesome idea!

Take a look at Jim Kaat's 1966 season where he had 25 Wins, 2.75 ERA, 205 Ks, and 19 Complete games.

Erickson and Jim Perry probably have the weakest numbers though you could bump a closer.

I went ahead and did Pascual for Erickson...just the tiniest increase in BB/9. I'm unsure about Kaat in Perry's slot. Before I start bumping closers I want to see how other people make up their team to see what kind of split they're doing. Edit: Kaat improved all cats, made changes.

You can't just add up the totals for each player and divide by the number of players. Othewise you can take someone with 1IP and a 27 K/9 and have it weighted heavy in the team totals, though I doubt anyone would do that. Mantle played only CF that year, he needs 10 games played in the position in the year selected. He has other seasons you can take him as a RF but not that year.
Wait what do you mean my real totals? Those are my totals as I added them up myself.

Also how is Mantle inelgible? One of the best seasons ever at that position.

He is listed as OF on Baseball reference which you specifically said counted. But its your contest.
