Never seen one like it. Anyone have a clue as to how this even happened? It was pulled from a pack years ago exactly as you see it. I slabbed it to show that it hasn't been tampered with. Surface has the same gloss across the entire card. Very strange.

Drop of oil or water on the sheet as it was being printed. You can see a little bit of splatter on the bottom, in the lighter blue color.

Water or amine might have been added to the printing ink and that sheet got a big splash of it. That sheet should have been discarded but it's and '89 Donruss and doesnt seem be that any of the printing sheets where ever discarded.

Interesting card, but getting it slabbed doesn't show it hasn't been tampered with. PSA will slab a card as "Authentic" if an original card has been trimmed or altered. Id be willing to bet if BGS gave it an actually grade, you would lose major points on surface.
