For those who opened enough of this product, how does the following sound?

In a '94 Sports Look magazine, Upper Deck responded to the rumors that only 6000 cases were produced.

Upper Deck replied "a little low, but close"

Very interesting - I believe I had heard recently that 2015 Tek had 2,500 cases made of it. To think that a product like tek had a fourth of the run of the best product put out from back then is crazy to think about.

It just shows how small of a percentage of the people collect cards today, compared to the early 1990s.

In 1991, Donruss had the super-rare Elite inserts #d /10,000. They were so scarce and so expensive to buy. Most base sets don't even have a print run of 10,000 now. The US population has increased substantially in 25 years, yet there are much, much less people collecting.
