I talked to Pat Venditte this year at Yankees minor league spring training. He is currently with the Charleston Riverdogs. He told me that if he did not make the Riverdogs, he would stay in tampa and basically practice every day until short season class A ball started up in Staten Island, which is usuaully around the beginning of July. Also, players that sign right after the draft and are not immediately put on a team go here.
