Just opened a case, did alright. Collation was decent... only shorted a few cards and only had about 10 damaged cards (minis with crimped bottom edges).

The base SP are 1 in 4 packs. Another SP is mentioned at 1:20. What is that? Is it a mini Piedmont of any of the cards below?

Is this the SP list? Looks like it according to Topps.com.
1 Ryan Howard
10 Andrew McCutchen
19 Mel Ott
23 Koji Uehara
28 Kenshin Kawakami
36 Jimmie Foxx

yes, those 50 cards you've listed are the sp's. however, there is also the regular version of those 50 cards as well

basically, the easiest way to tell whether they are sp's or not is simply by flipping it over and see if it is blank with either the last name of the player or "rookies" is written on the back

as for the other sp at 1:20, are the mini's. the mini's have 2 different pictures of the players on that list of 50

i also need a huge favor but can you check and see if you have these 5 sp's?

poreda
gehrig
sisler
cobb
porcello

i am 5 cards away from a set. i will gladly hook you up sp needs as well in return

pm me if you have further questions on t206

thanks

Thanks for the help. Are there SP in the other mini back types (Old Mill etc)? PM on the way.

from what i can tell, there are:

carolina brights #1/1
gold border #/50
plates #1/1
cycle #/99
old mill (these are tough...although not numbered, seems like harder pull than cycle)
polar bear
piedmont (including 50 sp's)

Thanks. The Cycle are 1 in 22 packs, Old Mill are 1 in 20 packs according to the wrappers.

My question is if the 50 players are also SP'd in Old Mill and Cycle? My case yielded 0 of the 50 SP players for Old Mill but I got several of those same 50 in my small stack of Cycle.

no, the 50 subjects only have sp's from the mini piedmont

so there will be 2 different designs or pictures of say....manny ramirez mini piedmont and one of them is the sp. how you can tell which is the sp is basically stack the mini's together and look from the top view where you can see the edges. the sp's are whiter than the normal base mini piedmont cards

Gotcha. Caught that when I was sorting. See also my post above... I have 4 of the 5 SP you need.
