There weren't many early surprises in my mind. I do often think that people who buy certain players assume/think that their prospect is just outside the top 100, top 125 or so, etc.

It is amazing to see the quality, or prospector's perceived quality of players in the late 200's!

One that stood out to me
Mike Leake - #34 - Much higher than I anticipated
Donavan Tate - #72 - fell pretty far
Eric hosmer - #116 - youch
Borchering - #135 - surprised since Callis had him #76 in his rankings
Jordan Danks - #181
Reymond Fuentes - #189
Jordan Walden - #208
Randall Grichuk - #219
Mychael Ynoa - #229
Dayan Viciedo - #256 - thank god I never bought into him
Tim Alderson - #259 - wow
Robert Stock - #300
Destin Hood - #307

Roughly speaking, a player at overall rank 200 on average will be a teams 6/7 prospect. You have a lot of prospectors who look at that as a positive. Sure, some of the players at 200+ might be as high as 3 in a weak system, or outside of 10 in a strong system.

But overall, being ranked 200+ overall sounds much worse than being #7 in a system, lol

Really just looks like a lot of raw, unproven talent.

Stock, and I'm a huge fan of his, has had 1/2 a season playing catcher, and he definitely overachieved.

Other guys like Viciedo, Hood, Ynoa, Fuentes, Tate, etc, just seem to be incredibly raw.
