Busting old wax boxes (Questions)

I busted a box of 2002 Stadium club a while back and all the cards were stuck together.

There was no way to separate them without surface damage.

Is this common?
What products should I avoid?
Is there a special technique I am not aware of for this?

Pretty common with all high gloss products from that era.
Its not just that product, its many.
I dont have a solution but next time try "bending" the pack sbefore you open them. Youll hear a cracking sound (its actually kind of fun for some reason) which will loosen the cards somewhat. Maybe that will help a little.
