Straight from Topps, in response to my inquiry:

toppscards @Jaypers413 Yes, there will be a Bowman Chrome baseball. Not sure where those rumors came from.

I was told from my shop that it was going to be made. I did not hear they were not going to be making it this year.

Two FCB posters said they were told by their dealers it would be cut. I figured I'd better go straight to the source and nip this in the bud.

with that being said, I didn't give much weight to the rumor about BC not being produced

I asked a shop nearby if they had any 08 Bowman w/Chrome. He started looking for it and showed me Bowman Draft. And he was very stubborn in telling me that that was "IT". I explained to him that it was just like this year's 2010 Bowman w/Chrome. So he then goes on saying that it must have been retail only and he doesn't sell any retail. ::facepalm::
