At this point you just laugh....because if that's not enough - and if he is headed to the DL, I'm pretty sure both Wagner and Brown (catcher's with some Major league experience and the two backups on the 40 man roster) are both currently on the DL.
At this point, if it's not a major injury I almost wish they'd just call Exposito up. Like I said there are really no options internally......though I have no idea if they are confident that Exposito could handle the staff in terms of calling a game.

So Beckett, Ellsbury, and Pedroia are out for at least five more weeks, VMart, Lowell, and Hermida are gone for a while, Buchholz tweaked something, and Drew and Cameron are currently playing hurt. This is getting ridiculous. But if they can keep winning, I don't really care who's playing.
