Didn't see any details about it on either their site or Facebook.

This should be interesting. Clearly, they don't have access to college unis anymore... which means the only way they can do it is individual contracts with the players and no/partially obscured logos... I guess?

This could be ugly.

Now, if you could let some more cats out and find us some specifics, we'd be appreciative.

Panini was able to deliver some good news to collectors today, Donruss Elite Extra Edition will be getting the September call-up and returning for another season sure to ignite the hobby hotlist.

We know, collectors are anxiously awaiting more details (and a checklist), but we were able to share the following information.

- The program is fully license by the CLC
- The set will be comprised of 200 players, that’s 50 more than the 2009 EEE release
- The set will be contain 100 Commons and 100 Autographed Rookies
- Each hobby box will contain six autograph cards per box
- Four “Hot Boxes” per 20-box case, with each Hot Box delivering an average of 10 autographs per box
- ALL hits in 2010 Elite Extra Edition are autographs

Thanks for the details, but what am I missing here? I thought UD owned it now?

I don't think that Upper Deck actually "owns" anything right now.

In fact, I wouldn't be too sure that Panini doesn't "own" part of Upper Deck at this point. Surely they have "owned" them so far by gobbling up the NBA license, snuggling in with the NHL license, now snuggling in with the CLC license...oh...and Panini actually has a positive cash flow, something I'm not sure that Upper Deck has seen for years.

Sweet design. I busted a box of the 09 elite and I loved it. More pics please!

The only lingering doubt I have for this product is that the majority of talent won't sign until the last minute (8/16), which leaves less than a month for Panini to snag their autos.

Of course, there's a very real chance DEEE will be delayed for this very reason.
