I'm going to try and put together a set for each of my kids. I'd like to pick at least one set from the year each was born (2006 and 2007). I left the collecting hobby in 2001 and just recently started buying cards again, so my knowledge of 2006 / 2007 sets is limited. I'd like to build a set that has a lot to offer in terms of inserts, autos, etc.; however, its not a "requirement" and overall set worth is not a huge concern since the sets are being built for more "sentimental value".

Any ideas which sets I should try and complete? I was thinking the standard 2006 / 2006 Bowman Baseball due to the number of rookie cards of players they may see when they're a little older. Looking for thoughts from the massess...

Any advice / guidance is greatly appreciated.

why build a prospect set when 90% of the players will be nobodies in 5 years. Pick
something with some starts and legends in it.

You could do the Allen and Ginter's sets as well, minis and regulars.

'06 might be tougher than '07, but they're fun.
