Wow. Their first 5 names match up with mine exactly.

After that, I had:

6) Noesi
7) Heathcott
8) Culver
9) Warren
10) Romine

I was beside myself when, last year, Brandon Laird didn't make the Top 30 list. I feel vindicated by him making the jump from off the list all the way up to 10th in the system. I credit BA for not taking the easy route and putting him in the 15-20 area to make themselves look better by his omission last year.

I'm glad your boy finally made the list! I know you've been a fan of his for a while!

I do not agree with Noesi for 2014 and Brackman should not even be in the top 10 IMO.

I'm reading the scouting reports and couldn't help but notice Betances maybe the heir to Mariano's throne as a "worst case" scenario. I'm liking Betance as a starter and hope the Yanks don't move him into the pen.

Me too. He has too much talent to be a closer. I have seen him pitch on numerous occasions and I really like what I see from him. I am really bummed out about Adam Warren not making this list.

John Manuel: I went into this chat actively trying to avoid starting with a Jaypers question, but that son of a gun asks good questions, and they're always first in the queue. I'm starting to think Jaypers and JJ Cooper are the same person . . .

Wouldn't shock me!
