is on the Steelers board I hang out on all the time...

In TX Gene Simmons rented it from him for his Superbowl party. While it was there all kinds of Celebrities took their photo with it...

He decided since it was such an iconic figure in the Steelers history, being shown on all the ESPN clips, in SI, on NFL Films, etc, and he could use the cash now, he put it in an auction down there. He hoped to get $10-$15K for it...

$57,000 later I'd say he did pretty well....

My buddy works for the auction house and still couldn't believe when it went over $30K. The final price:  .

That is a piece of Steelers History. Very happy for the creator and jealous of the buyer

I despise the Steelers, but that is too cool. If I had coin like that, I would have considered buying it as well. Congratulations to the seller and the buyer.
