I also saw that Verlander had won his last 7 starts coming into today. I hope he makes it 8.

Ill agree with this. I think he has a legitamte shot at 25 wins and maybe a couple more. He should get what 6 or 7 more starts and at this rate he may win them all. I think to have a real shot at the MVP he needs 25 wins and the last 5 will have to be dominate performances.

I read in one of the Detroit papers yesterday that the Tigers will have someone make one spot start in the next few days for the sole purpose of giving Verlander an extra day of rest. That's not a bad idea. He should have over 250 innings when the season is done. And if the Tigers have any kind of success in the playoffs, Verlander will most likely put 7+ innings on his arm in those games.

I had 4 tickets but I had to work that night. I gave them to my folks, my uncle and my cousin. My Mom was gracious enough to give me back her ticket. The other 3 won't give them up.
