I am wondering how you feel about this guy. Frankly, I think he's better and I would be kind of intrigued to hear him on a daily basis.

I'd only want to hear him if he has an american analyst on the air - he sounds like he's been repurposed from EPL soccer and thus probably knows just enough about American baseball to do the p-x-p.

Joe Buck would have probably done the right thing to do after the call - he would have kept quiet for however long it took for the walk-off celebration to finish.

Only Ian Darke (he called the US World Cup matches for ESPN, and does Premier League).

The man speaks in pure poetry.

I love the enthusiasm, but it's almost too much. Love the accent too, but not for baseball. America's pastime shouldn't be announced by a Brit. :p

Well it's played best by Latinos/Hispanics, so why not announced by Brits?

The Royals might be looking for a new TV play by play guy, I'd take that guy as Ryan Lefebvre's replacement (if he takes the Twins job).

I'm not a huge Joe Buck fan as an announcer, and I didn't like the fact that he felt more compelled to talk about Pujols and the "this may be his last at bat" etc stuff when the Rangers are in a possible WS clinching game. To me, it was over the top. Luckily, that talk was really only bad during the one half inning.

On to the British guy-I happen to love British accents. I would take one myself if I could. I would welcome that guy here in Michigan-he can replace Mario Impemba...errr I mean Big Bird.

gives me the idea of having one MLB game called by the Ozzies (Ozzie Guillen as analyst and Ozzy Osbourne as play by play). I'd be darned if we could understand entirely what they are saying! ;) We'd get bits and pieces of call here and there.

Im not a big fan of the British or their accents. Irish or Scottish would be cool. Something just isnt right about that accent and baseball.
He is better than this guy though: [youtube:q9zyeupl]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrrx5CgdZaA[/youtube:q9zyeupl]
