At least for investment reasons. I notice nothing comes back less than a 9.5 and people aren't paying any more for them compared to raw ones.

I've been meaning to ask this myself. Most cards do look to be gem or better though I have pulled a couple that weren't. I do see a premium for 9.5s verses raw though.

As always, do the math.

Sale value of raw card + Cost to grade > BGS 9.5 Sale Value - Don't grade it
Sale value of raw card + Cost to grade < BGS 9.5 Sale Value - Grade it

I would only grade if it's something for your PC, because as you mentioned, there's not much of a premium when almost all come back 9.5
