Re: Couple of new HOFer pickups

Nice stuff, HOFers can definitely put a dent in your wallet.

Re: Couple of new HOFer pickups

That Is a great project you are working on.!

I know it will be while before you add Ruth , Gehrig , young ,
Cobb , Mathewson etc as it will get rather pricey onviously , but you got a nice surrounding cast! I love the 54 Bowman Rizzuto.

How many more do you need ?
And how much have put into so far if you don't mind mentioning ?

Thanks, I got the '54 Rizzuto myself back in the 1980's.

I have been focusing on the Post WWI players and I am at about 2/3 done. Still missing quite a few of the biggies...Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb, Mathewson, etc.

I probably have $10,000 - $15,000 into it, but it is the most satisfying project I have ever done. I don't track my spending too close because it would probably make me sick. ;)

YES!!!!

Fantastic autos. I love that Henderson card, as I remember putting that little subset together back in the day.

You're well over the 100 mark now. That's an accomplishment with HOF autos to be sure.

I agree with this statement 100%. Collecting HOF autos was the best choice I ever made. In a very real way, I envy you becasue you have so much ahead of you!

I'll second that ;)

G-nut, keep on the hunt. You should be able to pick up the next 50-70 for reasonably affordable prices. Once I hit north of 180 or so they've become much more pricey. I myself am on 198 (with Santo) and hope to bust through 200 some time in early 2012. Might pick an easy one up one up on Jan 9 (with announcement of BBWAA 2012 vote).

Good luck and enjoy the ride.....
