A 12 yr old came in today to buy some packs. He actually is a brand new collector (helped by his friend who collects) but has gotten some really nice cards from packs in that short time.

So he bought a pack of ud sig stars, opened it and peeked inside.
He saw the huge cardboard decoy and said "didn't get anything" to which I replied that there are autos and good rcs which are on reg sized stock.

Next thing I know he started running up and down the store screaming.

His haul? Jeter auto.

Love kids reactions.

And then there are kids like my cousin who has had a 2005 Topps Chrome Justin Verlander autographed refractor sitting (unprotected--not even in a toploader) on his desk for several years now. ::facepalm::

You must be to young to remember the days of putting your best or favorite cards in you backpack or pocket. We didn't even know what a top loader was back then.
