can someone please explain to me what a "match print photo" is?

A "Match" print is a pre-production sample that the editors and staff look at to correct color and anything else they notice. Usually they are on thin glossy paper with color bar reference strips on some part of the sheet. Some are marked with markers to show where PhotoShop is needed. They can be used/made for a lot of reasons. The ones Topps are offering are probably cut from sheets they were testing shots on.
