Pulled this when I was 15 years old. Kept it ever since. I need to get it out of the ugly case though lol

I loved I-Rod, but was he ever accused of HGH? Not trying to start anything, just seeing if that will play a part in his HOF eligibility or not. He was pretty ripped from his rookie season, so if they are out there, I think he's good.

He definitely has been accused. I remember watching a spring training game on television the spring immediately following the Congressional Hearings on steriods. Pudge was doing wind sprints in the outfield, and the announcers were actually laughing at how much Pudge's body had slimmed down in the off-season.

It will be interesting, to say the least, five (six?) years from now, when Pudge is eligible for HoF induction. He's one of the greatest catchers of all time, and he's been linked to steroids, but he was never really a power hitter. Do the writers only keep power hitters and power pitchers out of the Hall?

I'm assuming the talking heads will bring the topic immediately on MLB Network and ESPN today, as soon as he makes his announcement.

Yeah, I remember him coming in that spring and it looked like all the air had been let out of his body. Teammates with Palmeiro, Canseco, Juan Gonzalez, etc. I have to think there was a lot of stuff going on in that locker room. It's a shame because he didn't need it to play his game, which was passable offense and incredible defense.

He is a guy I always wanted to collect, but never got around to it. Just this winter I was close to bidding on a couple real nice cards, but let them go. I was hoping he'd catch on for another couple season to reach 3000 hits, but given his production the last couple years, another couple might not have made it. Oh well, close enough I say.
