Good morning all!

Frosty - I thought of you at the game as I kept track of Darvish, Young and Napoli (holy COW he's on fire) who are all on my fantasy squad. Really great to know that you and your dad got some quality time together. My dad's a wonderful man, but I wish he and I could share something together like that.

Zach - so you manage a restaurant? And are you just getting an alcohol license or are you simply looking forward to Friday brews Homer Simpson style?

Good morning all.

I broke a case of 2011 Bowman Draft last night, here's a couple of cards pulled. I have never pulled 2-1/1's in a baseball case before. One is a really nice game-used patch.

Congrats, Ralph! Any colored refractor RCs?

I'll never understand, though, why card companies would picture a pitcher hitting on the front of a card.

The only colored auto'd refractors where a Brandon Nimmo blue /150 and a gold Trevor Clifton USA auto. There were numerous blue refractors, plus a gold Josh Parr refractor and a orange Sean Gilmartin refractor. I even pull a Blake Swihart AFLAC auto.

I'll scan and post the results soon.

Yeah, it's a place called the Spicy Pickle. There's a few on the western half of the US. This is the first store in Montana (Billings) but we'll be adding 4 more within the next few years. I'll be regional managing out of Billings (might move to Bozeman) so there'll be lots of traveling across this huge state. We're getting a beer/wine license which is only about $8K for the lifetime of the store and I think we'll serve your basic domestics (Coors Light, Bud Light) and then probably 3 or 4 different Montana beers such as Moose Drool or anything dark like that.

Moose Drool is a great beer. So is the Huckleberry brew.

Re: Darvish
In Japan, Darvish was known not only for his terrific stuff but his ability to throw it with precision. In 2011, he walked just 36 batters in 232 innings. Through three starts with the Rangers he's walked 13 in 17.2 innings. I've watched all three of those starts and there's no denying his ability, with good movement on his fastball and a sharp-breaking curve. The command hasn't been there, however, and I do see some Dice-K syndrome: Nibbling at the corners, not pitching inside, not trusting the quality of his stuff. It's early and I do think he'll be fine in the long run, but there is at least a little reason to doubt he'll be the No. 1 many projected.
