Good morning.

Tim, I've got three base Bowman Chrome Pirates prospects, including a Josh Bell, set aside for you. Craig, I have a couple ND players from '12 UD set aside for you; Floyd and Smith base. Should I add these to the freebie pile I have for you guys or do you already have them?

Edit: I fudged up the title.... and I can't edit it? lame

Yeah, Topic Titles are NOT editable. IF it makes you feel better I really frigged up Monday's Title LOL.

Won one of the new Topps GG baseball set singles last nite. Looks great, even with a Lousy scan and even with the Protective sleeve still on...

Congrats on the win G

Waiting for payday is unbearable when you want to break some wax... :(

Only two offers on my super so far. Wondering if I should relist it as an auction.

Good morning.

Scott - the only Pirates prospect from this years Bowman is the Cole chrome that I pulled last weekend.

As far as your superprismaticrefractor goes, it's hard to say sometimes, it's a double edge sword no matter how you list it. Sometimes we want to list rare cards with a BIN/BO and it gets hit right away and we're left thinking we left money on the table and should've listed it higher, and then there's times that it will go unsold because maybe it was too high and scared people away. The same goes for regular auction, sometimes it goes for more than we thought and then sometimes it goes lower than we hoped.

All that being said, I would list it at .99 and let it ride.

I'd go the auction route, too, and see what happens. Hopefully you can get a nice chunk of change for it!

I haven't found a new Greenway card I'm interested in for months. Last night a Press Pass auto parallel popped up, and I was really excited... until I realized I had it. Is that good or bad?

I got my redemption replacement in from UD today. Three years ago, it would have been a killer card, but today it drew a few disappointed curse words from me. I was hoping to get something I would want since the original card was an Andrew Gurode Philadelphia auto, and he is an extremely rare auto (not even sure if he has any live autos to date). Oh well, I can move this out.

Strange how Donovan's career has unfolded these past few years.

The Gurode would have been a nice one. Feel your pain.

You just got a replacement for a Gurode now? I think I pulled one in 2010, and had a replacement about six weeks later - a Percy Harvin SPA Chirography auto. Then again, I requested it right away, knowing people had been waiting on them for a while already. I'm guessing you had held out hope that he would sign.

It stinks knowing you're a Cowboys fan, but it absolutely could have been worse, like an Albert Haynesworth.

Ugh, I hate Fat Albert. I waited two years for the Gurode. I made the request for a replacement over three months ago, and they finally finished the process. I've had four people interested in the McNabb already, so I underestimated his value in the hobby, but I still wish the Gurode had been made.

Thanks Scott, that's perfect. I only have a Blanton base from UD. :)

So that buyer sent back the Miguel Cabrera Tribute redemption for me to send back to Topps. This was after I went back to the LCS, got the barcode from the original box and bought another pack so that I would have a wrapper and a receipt, fulfilling all of Topps' replacement demands. I open the package the seller sends me, slide the card out and look at the back of the card... sure enough...

Seriously? That blurred out part is where I scratched off the material to reveal the normal, fully printed, nothing wrong with it, redemption code beneath. Granted I'm only out shipping, but I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around the concept that someone didn't even try scratching it off, let alone had no clue about how to work redemption card... I think I give humanity too much credit, after all, I did just recently learn that 30%-40% of the US population wouldn't be able to correctly guess the odds of a coin landing heads if you were to flip it 500 times.

What was the story on the redemption Scott?
Must have missed the original issue.

Ahh, sorry, I may have only posted it on the other site.

I bought a few packs of Tribute and pulled this redemption for a Miguel Cabrera auto. It sells for ~$45 iirc, and I send it on it's way. The buyer gets it and promptly messages me on ebay, asking where the code is to redeem the card. Now I knew I was selling the card immediately after I pulled it, so I didn't glance at the back of the card, and I assumed everyone knew about the scratch off material on a redemption card. Having no memory of what the back of the card looked like, I ask him for an image of the card, receiving a reply from him asking if I have a fax machine and that he has no other way to send me a picture (I'm guessing his wetplate civil war era camera was in the shop ;) ) Since I need the card to send back with all of the other items Topps' needs for a replacement, he sends it back to me, and I receive it today.

Nope, he never figured out that you had to scratch off the material covering the number, instead thinking that the card was printed incorrectly and had no way to redeem it. I got the card back from him, and scratched a line through the material to make sure there are indeed numbers beneath it. Fortunately I only refunded his shipping cost as he wants the card, but this is still a big hassle.

Oh lol, that is strange. Are you just going to message him the code now? Or would he not be able to figure out how to type it in online.
