Xavier Avery

Not that he'd beat out Harper at this point, but like Middlebrooks, he's been a HUGE asset to the O's since being brought up.
Will be interesting to see what they do with him once Reimold returns.

Just watched the Harper hustle of JHey clip. That was awesome. The best part was he never hesitated, not in the slightest. He read Heyward the whole time sprinting to first and kept going. I really hope when he's a superstar he plays like this. Baseball needs it. Kids need a role model like that.

Well Xavier Avery and Harper can both win it since they are in different leagues but I really don't see Xavier Avery, as great as he has been, staying up with the club. Unfortunately when Reimold and Chavez come back, they will take all PT away from him and they will have no choice but to send him down.

He's shown he can handle it.
I'd rather see him stay rather than Endy.
I know they wouldn't be taking LF away from Endy, but he's definitely a better utility guy then Endy in my opinion.
He can play the OF or IF.
Endy hasn't shown anything since ST.

Oh I hope they keep Xavier over Endy too. Just I don't think it'll happen. I hope I'm wrong though. Endy does play good defense out there though. But that's not enough to keep him around. LF is no SS.

In the AL it's Darvish's award to loose. Not saying he should or will win it, but he started with the most hype, and if he's in the running on a good team he'll win.

Cespedes and Darvish are no challenge for Harper in the race for the National League Rookie of the Year.

Trout will win handily, he has saved the Angels season

It's a good time to be in DC and a Nationals fan. He's a lot of fun, plays hard and has tons of energy. It isn't just that he hits the ball hard and has a cannon for an arm, it's that he sits in counts and doesn't swing at bad pitches. It's that he adjusts from one at bat to the next. It's that he studied Roy Halladay for three years and then turned a ball on him BECAUSE he knew the get over curve was coming. It's that he has head down and runs hard constantly. It's that he turns singles into doubles.

Anyone who thinks he's cocky is thinking of 18 year old Bryce Harper. After a year in the minors he handles himself much better which is evident to anyone who watches him daily, and not just on highlights. He really just plays like a game is never over and that a play is never done. I suppose he plays with the enthusiasm of a child.

Whether he is better than Trout, or if he goes to the Yankees completely misses the point of watching him. He's amazing and wants to succeed and has an amazing amount of upside. If you're caught up in all of that you're missing the very special player he is right now.
