We'll be somewhere in Northwest Arkansas, which I was pleased to see they abbreviate NWA, although nobody gets the joke. Oh the irony.

My relatives live in Bella Vista. We were planning on moving there, I think, but this last trip changed our mind. My wife didn't even have to go, just hearing about my trip with grandpa convinced her we don't want to be toooo close. And the one about grandma's deviled eggs, that was a pretty terrible story too.

I really like it in Eureka Springs, but it doesn't seem like a feasible place to move to and find a job. I think I would like to find a place outside of Bella Vista to the east, towards Eureka Springs a bit. I dunno. We're going to move to my momma's house while we shop for place to rent... it's too hard to do on the internet. I checked out an awesome place while I was out there, the address was #19 which we thought was cool as Dark Tower fans (probably nobody gets that, it's all good) and it's on a finger of a lake. Very nice place. The thing it didn't mention, which you had to go and see firsthand to know about... the backyard was a steep hill that ended in a lake, but the lake was nowhere near the house. There was a jungle in between the house and the lake, and you couldn't play in the backyard because it was so steep. However, because the property was so steep, you could see the finger of the lake really well- it makes it seem like it's just right there behind the house in this tricky picture they show on the internet.

I had an awesome night last night. We had more gold ball sized hail and a couple tornados touch down, but it was all to the east of my house. It was scary for a minute though, the entire sky was filled with these ferocious black clouds, and it started to rain. We scrambled around making last second adjustments to the sand bags and whatnot from the night before... 30 seconds later it was done raining, and everything headed east. Here are the latest pictures from around town...

I checked out a great slide show on the local news station, and it had a couple awesome ones. A real golf ball next to 3 hail stones that were the same size, and a hail stone side by side with an egg, it was weird, they were exactly the same size and shape! Sadly, I can't figure out how to copy and paste or save a picture from the slide show.

That hail is crazy scary.

I live in Fayetteville but work in Bentonville (probably don't need to say for which company I work). I love NWA (the area) and don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

I went to Bentonville for the first time last weekend. Ate at a great Indian place, Indian Orchard, and hit up Crystal Bridges. It was rather impressive. I was tripping out- I never thought I would hang out with an original Andy Warhol, and/or something so fabulous as Rockwell's Rosie the Riveter... If you told me I was going to see them in person some day, I would ask "When I'm going to NYC?" or something like that. Nope, I saw millions of dollars worth of art in the middle of the forest. Crazy!

Speaking of that one company, my brother wants to open a store to sell his paintings somewhere in the NWA area. His idea for a good name for the store is Wall-Art. I'll probably end up being your coworker in one way or another, seems like they run/own everything out there. I just took a gander at the map, looks like Bella Vista is closer to Bentonville than you are. What a commute! I've become pretty spoiled, it takes 8 minutes to get to work if the traffic is bad.

That's the power of that family. To be able to bring a museum of that magnitude and place it in, depending on whom you ask, a valley or a ravine is impressive.

I tell people all the time. If you live in this area, you work for the company - whether directly or indirectly.

I'm not sure which is more surprising, the size of the hail, or that someone actually had a half dollar and silver dollar for comparison!

I think I sent you a list last month, but it could still be in my outbox somewhere, I'll check again, and resend it if it didn't go through.

Got this in a group break a few weeks ago.. It's a 1/1 and beautiful in person. Evidently there are some sportkings haters.. But everyone is entitled to their opinions.. My opinion is that this card is amazing in person and Dr. P created some real gens in this set.
-Cheers

That is a beautiful card, and I apologize to everybody for voicing my terrible opinion. :D Sort of. I'm genuinely sorry Ken if my opinion was the reason that your inquiry was completely ignored.

I would love to own that 1/1, but wouldn't be willing to shell out the cash it would take. With that kind of money you could get a really nice licensed card! Muahahahahaaaaa!

You do realize of course that Rickey Henderson himself licensed this card, don't you. ;)
