So... does anybody have a 2004 SP Game Used Patch HOF Numbers RH #/25? I would really like to see some pictures if possible... Mine looks like this:

toogood2Btrue.jpg

I had this one, I think I traded it... found it in a big pic of a bunch of dupes and cropped it and blew it up, so it's a pretty crappy pic...

I think it looks a little too well centered, and doesnt fit the overall showing that i have seen on all the Rickeys. I may have to say fake.

So if my car is stolen anytime soon, I'm looking at you guys first. Rickey cards and bats will be in my trunk in lieu of a storage unit. Not enough room for everything so I had to leave my commons and jerseys in boxes.

I've had some guys ask me for advice/tips when buying jerseys. If you need help spotting fakes or anything let me know. Ton of them on eBay. Easiest to spot is the Mitchell & Ness. Only 2 have ever made by them was the '69 Throwback the Mets wore and the '83 A's BP from about 10 years ago. It was made without licensing and they have not been able to make another. I left a message on Rickey's FB page as they want to sign him so they can produce jerseys. If you want to buy a nice quality jersey I'll help you find one. I can also guide you to the place that letters mine as well as MLB and every other sport. I can also help track down patches that were used during certain years. There are 2 that I can't find and would love if someone could help me out. 1) patch worn for La Primera Serie in 1996 2) Watler A Haas memorial patch worn after death in 1995.

Thanks for the pics Lef!

Thanks for your kindness. You instantly had me thinking it was fake! I have always felt it was real, it is perfect and looks untampered with. Also, right after I won this won, I lost his little brother that had more of the red stitches... I think. It might have been a different card though, I wanted it because it matched up with this one.

After researching the set though, it looks like the "Numbers" has more to do with stats (that got the player into the HOF) than the patch on the card...

Awesome card! Yankees uni, Yankees patch... "Houston Astros"

Lots of the patches do look like they came from number patches, but there are plenty of other examples...

I also noticed 04 SP had another set called "Significant Numbers" for less HOF worthy people? I dunno, it was a Roger Clemens card, let the debate begin... ;)

Sorry, but I had to show off my poor excuse for a Gwynn Patch...Kinda bummed after seeing these!

Don't be sorry, thanks for showing it off! I've got plenty of duds like that in my collection, one color patches. I have seen/own(ed) worse examples of "prime" cards though. Anyway... maybe we should take a time out from the Rickeyness in this thread and show off our Gwynn cards? Sounds fun to me!!

These are Emerald 1/1 cards:

These are part of the 24 Museum...

Sorry for all the extra cards in the pics, I can never have a scan with just one card for some reason.

So has anyone checked out Rickey's FB page lately? Have a sweet convo going and should be a Mitchell & Ness jersey in the works!

I might but I can't check to see if I have it since all my **** is packed up. If you can wait a couple of weeks I'll let you know for sure.

Good stuff! I'd thank you for your hard work, but they took away the thanks button. Oh well, you'll just have to settle for a verbal "Thanks!"

Well I guess it's not verbal, but......

Hope everybody is doing well! I have been working like a slave getting our house ready to put on the market. It's a lot more work than we anticipated. Thank God for Becky, she has been kicking ass all day while I sit in an air conditioned office. :D So I haven't been working as hard as some people, but I've done so much scraping and sanding in the last week my arm is about to fall off. Ah well. Have a great day...

Well done!

I think you might have missed the original art painted 1/1 card though:

Looks great!
