We went to the Springfield game yesterday, came away with a Smith bobblehead and a team set.My friend couldn't get over Wong's last name, so he had to bid on the old retro style jerseys Wong was wearing yesterday, but he didn't win it.He did buy an uncut sheet of last year's team set that was marked down.Saw Taveras hit a bomb in the 8th inning over some building in RF to bust the game oven.Rosenthal pitched decent enough to get the win.

Get this, we got there probably 2-3 hours before the game, and there were already a couple hundred people outside the stadium.We went last year for the Carlton, and it wasn't anything like that.We didn't feel like waiting around in the heat for 2 hours and my friend wanted dinner, so we went the same bar (The Dugout or something like that not far from the stadium) we went to last year and caught the end of the Cardinals game.We get back probably half an hour before the game, and luckily still scored the giveaway.Wasn't for sure if we would get one or not.I kid you not, there was someone who walked out of the stadium as we went in with half a dozen of them.Was going to buy another team set from last year, but they didn't have any left.My buddy did get the uncut sheet from last year though.

Rosenthal started and pitched decent enough to get the win.Wong looked good in the field, I think he as 1-4, but thrown out stealing.Taveras and Swauger made nice diving catches to preserve win.We saw Kelly start last year, and now he's up with the parent club contributing.I don't give a crap about the Rangers, but Profar hit a 3 run homer too.

Thanks.My friend I went to Springfield with also went along to Fan Fest last week, and I scored the Pendleton along with this oddball set I found below.The Pendleton along with some other signed stuff was at some table with a paper that other fans could bid on for some MLB charity.I didn't want the other stuff, but the photo caught my eye as soon as I saw it (I absolutely loved it was a World Series photo, and it was signed in silver).For whatever reason, there was no bid sheet for the Pendleton, so the director or someone associated with the charity said make and offer on it and I did.I could have also bought a Pendleton signed ball, but didn't.

I have a couple of the singles from this set, but they were damaged and I wanted a clean set.Only thing that sucks is because the cards are so wide they don't fit in sleeves or top loaders, so I'm not sure how I'm going to store them.Any ideas?

So FCB's own, Pine Tar, said he would send me a Lance Berkman 2012 A&G card...

I open a bubble mailer today, and in it are 31 other Cardinals base cards to join Berkman, an Eduardo Sanchez purple refractor, and this Seth Blair cert. What an awesome gesture, thanks again, man!
