I'm glad I picked up that Oscar Taveras blue a few nights ago.

On a side note, I know it's already been said but I am shocked that Taijuan Walker is as high as he is.

There are always a few guys whom the "experts" rank extremely high, despite less-than-stellar numbers. Coming into this season, Mike Montgomery and Martin Perez were two of them. Walker appears to be the next in line.

You do realize that Walker's age 19 season is in AA.

I'm somewhat surprised people are shocked by his high ranking, especially Mariner fans. Let's gain some perspective here. It's not all about ERA and W-L.

A 19-year-old in AA with a 3.65 FIP, 9.28 K/9, while sporting a .337 BABIP? There are maybe 2 pitchers with more upside in all of the minors. Maybe. He's only 3 months older than Bundy who is experiencing his first challenges at class A advanced, a level Walker skipped over. Not to mention the kid has absolutely filthy stuff and is nowhere near a finished product.

As more midseason top-50 or 100 rankings come out, don't be shocked when Taijuan is top-10 in every one of em.

Mainly b/c my two guys cracked your top 25 and they didn't sniff the top 25 on his.

I love your list much better. Although you LOVE Taveras, eh?

Nope. He'd be in the 26-30 range. Hard not to love his arsenal, but he hasn't missed as many bats as predicted.
