What were some of your most memorable "deals" don, eddie & "are u there kenny?" Sold?

I have many, heres a couple.

Anything with the words "mother cookie rookie" & how every thing was the next 52 topps mantle "rookie"

When they reprinted the kurt warner edge rc (but put a "p" next to card number) & showed the bv as if it was the pack issued card.

When they sold fake star co. sets by "mistake" but when they had to make good on it, they sent a letter out to their customers stating they sent u the "wrong set" instead of claiming they were duped.

They would show an ebay print out for something they were selling & somehow the ebay sale was way way more than they were charging. Turned out it was shilled & the sn was kennys.

I miss Don West hucking those horrible "deals" on Shop At Home. He made everything sound like such a great deal.

"Ken Griffey Jr. Topps ROOKIE CARD! Graded GEM MINT TENNNNNN!!!!! ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE! Beckett value $100!!! But we're selling them for the AMAZING PRICE of ONLY $19.99!....plus shipping... Quantities are limited! So BEEEE DIALIN' FOLKS!"

In reality, those cards were graded by some off brand company and weren't even worth the price of shipping.

My favorite moments are summed up in the revisionist history that JSA often trumps that Mickey Mantle never signed for Shop at Home and Ken Goldin. There isn't anyone that Mickey Mantle didn't sign for.

They always used to try to pass 2001 UD Golf Tiger Tales cards as outstanding.

Anything TriStar was like gold.

They were selling Cello packs with Barry Bonds RC in them for like 20 bucks one time...

To think I actually used to watch that show :benson:

Ok, sorry but I always felt some of those blue chip deals were kinda cool but I never got one. Don West was almost as cool as Chuck Norris. Almost.
