I understand the Brewers aren't getting Bundy or Machado for Greinke but I have no interest in any of the other players Baltimore could be offering. Especially on the pitching side, from Matusz, Arrieta, or Tillman. Neither of those pitchers have given me any indication that they are ready to succeed in the majors even if they pitch in the weaker NL.

I know his numbers are atrocious but Arrieta's stuff is really good. If he can put it together, I could totally see him being dominant in the NL. Here is a masterpiece he pitched against the Yankees:

Yes, he's the guy for us after one start against the Seattle "1927 Yankees" Mariners... No thanks on Tillman.

If I had my choice, I would want you guys to take Matusz....if not him, then Arrieta. I'm hoping Tillman stays.

I'm not that high on Tillman, don't get me wrong. But he can certainly pitch at this level. Whether he's consistent start to start is another story.

I don't think Baltimore will get Greinke. Like someone said before, Melvin is going to rape someones minor league system. I can promise you if they don't resign him they will get a ton in return. Melvin has proven that he knows how to get a return on his ball players.

It's not as easy to deplete someone's farm system anymore with the new CBA agreement. People are not going to shell out like they have in the past for a half year rental b/c there's a chance they lose that player to FA and not get compensated for it.

True, but that obviously wouldn't apply to Greinke as he'd easily fall in Elias' Type-A Free Agent rankings. The interesting ones are Rodriguez and Marcum, who in the past would, but under the new CBA wouldn't.
