Good morning.

Any pinball fans in the MT? I love pinball. Used to play it all the time in college, in bars and the basement of the student union at U of I. I'm now addicted to the pinball simulators that recreate exactly the old tables I used to play. I love Pinball Arcade for my tablet PC. The company has recreated such classics as Theatre of Magic, Cirqus Voltaire, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Medieval Madness, Monsters of Rock, Bride of Pinbot, Funhouse, etc. Some great tables. I used to be a master of Sorcerer, Red & Ted's Road Show, Phantom of the Opera, Lethal Weapon 3, and Twister.

Thought I'd enjoy reading a book about the history of pinball, so started searching for one yesterday. Just from my first Google searches, I was shocked by the sordid history of pinball. I never knew it was outlawed in most cities for nearly 30 years, and that there were pinball speakeasies! Pretty fascinating stuff. The most amazing fact I learned was really interesting. If you're a fan of the game, check this out:

11 Things You Didn't Know About Pinball, #6

If you're a fan - list your favorite tables of all time! Mine are:

#1 - Twister
#2 - Twilight Zone
#3 - The Addam's Family
#4 - Fish Tales
#5 - Road Show

There were a few I used to play a LOT. Most of those were old ones from the 70's like K.I.S.S., Pinball Wizard, Blazers (?), Hot Stuff, but the one that my best friend and I OWNED was the Star Trek: The Next Generation one. We used to go to this arcade, put in a total of $2 and alternate play. We would ALWAYS earn free games to the point that the initial $2 would last us, literally, three or four hours. We would finally get tired of playing for the day/night and abandon about 10 free credits on the machine. :)

Once, back home, there was a "build it yourself" pinball machine made of cardboard, as a gift in "Picsou Magazine" (Scrooge McDuck Comics); you had to use tiny marbles as the ball. I was obsessed with it. My spirits were as crushed as it was when I lost it.

Home on long lunch.

Have had one offer on the relic set I have on ebay. Was not nearly as much as I would like. But I am very tempted to contact them back. I really need at least $1500, they only offered $700..

Not really sure how into I am, but 1500 is the least amount I can get out if and not take a huge hit! I need the money for other things, and its just sitting here.
