Kinda cool watching Pirates-Rockies go HR Derby at Coors. 6 homers so far, 9-6 Bucos.

Only got to see it 'cuz of Phils' blackout on MLBN.

Pedro Hernandez to make MLB Debut for ChiSox, although he'll probably be back in AAA Thursday.

And we'll see which Masterson shows up in TB. He's been Un-hittable in Most of his recent starts...

And Kemp legs out a INF single to tie Phils in 10th off Papelbon. This would be a VERY tough loss for Philly if they can't rebound. 3-3 headed to 11th...

My Question: WHY would you even think about pitching to Kemp in that situation? :benson:

Just an Awful choice, especially considering 1. 2 outs 2. Your bullpen is AWFUL and 3. He is really the only "1 swing" threat in that Lineup right now...

Excellent game. However, I think they were right to pitch to him. I don't put the winning run in scoring position with Ethier coming up. Ellis might have been able to score from first on a Kemp double, but it would have had to be a real gapper.

Benafacio (1 CS so far) takes off late when pitch bounces, catcher short-hops him on the throw down. Barney dives for it, grabs it off the short-hop and tags out runner from behind the bag.

Gotta be seen to be appreciated and should be Play of the Day, if not week...

It's a three year deal at $7 million per (good price), which goes thru '14. And ESPN is reporting that the Twins are VERY reluctent to move him. But IF someone makes a big offer for him or maybe for Liriano, who's looked great lately, they'd at least have to listen.

And Clippard make it close w/ 2 9th inning HRs, but Nats win again. Big win for them + Crushing loss for Philly = ALOT more than 1 game in the Standings...

Yeah Ross and Gonz combined 6-9 3HR 10RBI....crazy! Looks like Ross is our new 3 hole hitter until Ortiz gets back. Definitely loving Ells and Crawford #1 and 2 respectively. Where is Crawford going to be in the lineup once Pedroia comes off the DL?
