Will Clark collectors are insane... WOW!

So I have been putting a set together (Salutations), and a Will Clark Auto came up that I needed..

So I put a healthy snipe on it ($140), knowing it would spike at the end of the auction.. I didn't think I would never get close..
Looks like a few others put some extremely high bids thinking that they would get it for a decent price.. but wow!!

I have seen wome different notations from various players and some just sign their name without a notation..

there was a Willie Mays auto I should have snagged, but it was in such poor condition auto wise, that I decided to pass..

Great question - I know Will Clark is popular, but that just seems excessive. No way those cards can consistently sell at that price.

I have now seen 3 different Salutations (Best Wishes, All The Best, Good Luck). I emailed the seller and offered $350 and he was ecstatic I offered so much, so glad to get this variation.

Yeah, I saw the Mattingly. Not exactly a "Salutation" on that one, kinda defeats the purpose of the set if you ask me.
