Tonight might be the last night for Span and Morneau.

Makes tonight's game even a little more interesting.

Also, this will be my first Twins game without seeing Cuddyer play, I think.

Oh and now the Radio talk has been Sori almost went to the Tigers for a boat load of Prospects, but the Cubs would not eat about 2/3 of what is left to Sori.
So the Tigers have asked the Mets for Scott Hairston to hit behind Fielder

Man today is day to sit and list the hell out of base cards of guys on the move, to get impulse buys for sure. I have done it the past week and made almost 30 on base lots and the rest on only 2 autos of call ups for just under 100 bucks

WTF so the Cub are giving away the team today.....Seems Dempster is going to the Dodgers as I type, but they are adding in James Russell and maybe Jeff Baker for a boat load of nothing from LA. NO names in the deal......So in the last 2 days they have given away 3 people I wanted them to keep. I wanted Reed Johnson to stay, and Paul Molhoum too. But now James Russell who has been great of of the pen this year is going now.

Why can't we have given away Carlos (all over the Place) Marmol instead.

It's spelled Maholm, and frankly I don't care where he goes. We can dump chumps all day for prospects, we've got enough of them. None of these guys mentioned amount to a hill of beans, or are building blocks in any way, shape or form. Let's free up some cash and try the free agent / prospect approach. No where to go but up.

Richard; you know I am not a Cubs fan.........but I cant for the life of me see WTH Theo is doing. They must think they can sign people during the off season because they are not getting MLB talent in return.

Sadly, if they are traded they won't play tonight since the deadline is 4 ET, which would be 3 for you

He's clearing the roster pretty well. Other than Soriano, no one on the team gets paid much at all. Garza, Marmol, and DeJesus are the only other guys I can think of that make over $5 million per year. Also, I'd disagree that Vizcaino is not an MLB talent. He's a risk given the TJ surgery, but if he comes back healthy he will be an effective reliever at the bare minimum and could develop into a solid starter.

Sorry I did not spell it right for you!
And we tried the free market thing many time again and again so look where it got this team over paid and nothing to show for it. And your wrong on the guys they trade as having anything to do with rebuilding. They were cheap and still had team control of some of them. So now the Cubs will continue to look like a AA team for years to come, becuase in the off season there will be to many guys wanting to much money and I don't see the Cubs spending any of it, and i hope they don't. Otherwise it is Jim Hendry part 2.

George I know. I could see 1 or 2 guys going for nothing, but last night and today Theo has dumped this team of the players actaully having value and getting nothing, just nothing in return. And of the teams that make the playoffs this season, they will take the free agents in the off season, and there will be nothing left for the cubs to even go, to build around. That was why I was said they should have kept some of the ones they traded away, and built from there.

Oh well I'm Cub fan, but I'm not seeing another in the future, other then a AA team for about 2-3 years. plain and simple.

Maybe true, but what they gave up in a right now starting pitcher, they should have gotten Randall Delgado, or Theo should have not made that deal.

I thought it was later than that. That's too bad. I am really hoping they stay.

Me too. I don't want to add any cards of Span in any other uniform to my PC. But if he does get traded I'd probably pick them up anyways but focus mainly on his Twins cards. Somebody has a 2009 Ginter silk of Span up on ebay. I'll probably have to fight TGutta for it

I wonder what the asking price is today for Cliff Lee?
