He's been on my radar for some time. Unfortunately, Milb.com rarely lets me in on Idaho Falls' starter each morning.

Good to know I am blowing up your under-the-radar prospect, then, haha.

What boggles the heck out of me is where this came from. He was a highly regarded recruit that never really put it together. He only pitched 12.1 unimpressive innings as a Fr/So, then posted 3.55, 80K, 43BB in 76IP as a Jr. I can grasp the high K rate. He has killer stuff. But the new-found control is just out of nowhere. Unless, of course, he is just preying on overswinging Pioneer kids.

Still, get this guy a card, huh? BDPP? VandyDan needs more stuff to buy!

He's never been under my radar - he's been flying way above it, actually. I can't figure out why they didn't start him in Kane County.

I sent Topps a list of suggestions for 2012 BCDP, and he was one of them.

My uneducated guess would be because he basically quintupled his workload in his JR year as his FR/SO years, and maybe they thought he'd be spent (it happens with drafted college pitchers).

Personally, from watching him for 3 years and hearing/seeing his make-up as well as stuff, I think he's going to be a successful LOOGY in the majors, but not a starter. but still, Jaypers, let a Vandy fan have the super when it comes out, eh? Any other Commodores on the recommended list? Curt Casali was doing quite well until recently.
