I liked Olympic men's basketball when it wasn't a bunch of over-paid pros. Funny thing about that is I wasn't around the last time that happened, but I am sure I would like it better that way.

I am indifferent about hockey, and even though the IOC is having a hissy-fit with the MLB, having high school and college players in for baseball would be sweet.

G'morn gents & gals!

I'm drooling on that unripped Mantle A&G 10/10.... May make a play on it. It may contain a Yu Darvish auto...

*waits to see if that makes George sweat a little and take the BIN*

Dave, I have to have salt on my tomatoes. The cherry ones are usually eaten before they hit the kitchen unless a salad is on the menu.

Hey Barry, you have a "honey do" list for your wife? Since she is retired, the shoe is on the other foot.

Scott, I hope the new school year is a rewarding experience this year. I hope you have a lot of great kids in your classes. Thank you for your efforts in educating our children.

Thanks man. I really appreciate it.

Alex,

I haven't asked you yet but how you feeling as a Laker fan about Howard?? before the Nash deal went down I wasn't thrilled because the hack a Shaq would have killed us with Howards inability to hit free throws. Now he won't have to be the go to guy in the 4th and with the addition of Jamison (which in my opinion was huge for vet minimum) the Lakers have more scoring versatility overall. I'm definately looking forward to seeing some new offensive schemes because last year just sucked offensively mostly due to Mike Brown sucking as a head coach. I think pick and roll will be a monster and tough to stop with Howard and Gasol if they gel and play well together. I definately think Howard will bring better interior defense and rebounding than we had with Bynum.

Yep, good luck, Scott.

Chris starts back first week of Sept. Before that, she and I get to unpack the 332 boxes of books we singlehandedly packed for the move to the new school.

She will be opening two different school libraries this year by herself. :???:

OH bOY i think i can get rid of some LA Doddle cards if a deal comes thru .
When i managed a shift at resturant / bar we had OTHER shift that did shave chest .
Wow i hit a RED auto in topps ------------------------------------------- football 7/10 A J Jenkins 49ers 2012 draft and a PINK Randy Moss ser/ 399 . Not much else for $100 jumbo box , did better with box of Platinum baseball . Did hit an auto # 1 of 399 N.C. native .
Rain at stadium last night and i had to cover up / load in a hurry - ten minutes later cleared but it was seventh inning . Needed $100 but got $60 less table fee.
BTW the cammo cards in football are different but i don't collect Saints either .

I am happy he is here first off. But I saw a post on FB from the L.A. Times with Howard head down holding a ball, with the other big men jerseys on the rafters behind him...with something like next in line quoted... I am all for him being in L.A. but come on he hasn't signed a long term contract and he hasn't played a game yet. That was stupid of the Times to do. I am glad Nash is there, it will give the Lakers another person who can run the offense. It is going to be an exciting season for Lakers fans as long as they can gel. Otherwise it will be the Reloaded Lakers of a few years ago all over again.
