I keep all of my high end cards in fire/waterproof lock boxes. I'd like to keep them separated by year so I can easily find certain cards and find where new cards need to go. I've tried using rubberbands and writing the year on them, but they eventually dry out and snap (you can see the remnants of some in the picture). Any suggestions to help me out?

How do you guys store your stuff? I'm sure there's a more efficient way.

When I used to store my cards like that I would just use an index card to seperate the years. They are taller than the cards and easily fold down when lids are closed.

I have 5 large fireproof safes full of my nicer larkin cards. It's a mess - I was looking for a few of them earlier this week and I had to search through all 5 safes to find them. It took me over an hour, but is was fun to look through everything in the process :)

If you're hell bent on storing em that way, just seperate each box by year and then write on the outside of the box which years are inside. Of course to make it easier, you need to actually organize them inside the box by putting earliest year first and whatnot.

If you want to continue using the lock boxes, I'd take cardboard and make a grid out of it to the inner dimensions of the box. It would be similar to a vault or 5000 ct box that way.

You can put them in boxes within the box.

Perk collection isn't stored very well, but the rest of my stuff that's stored is in a $2.50 vault box from Wal-Mart. Keeps them neat and gets the job done.

Wow man I tried writing in rubber-bands once, but I could not read what I wrote since they were the thin kind.
