Evening folks.

I sort of thought this was sad, is it normal?

I was sitting in a classroom today, ready to hand a paper in. Nothing fancy, just a summary of some guy's essay. I am normally the first one in the room, and the rest of the class comes in and sits down and starts talking about the assignment. A good share of them either:

A) Didn't know that it was actually due today
B) Assumed it was supposed to be emailed to the professor
C) Had computer trouble and couldn't get it finished.
D) Just didn't do it.

For a good share of the ones that did complete the assignment, forgot too:
A) Put their name on it
B) Align the name, date, class, professor etc to the left, as requested.

I am willing to bet that out of the class of 25, maybe 8 people did everything as previously requested by the professor. I just found that quite sad. It was a maximum 5 sentence summary as well... It wasn't a 20 page paper...

That is normal in college, usually its not that bad though. If they are taking a full course load rather than a couple of classes it can get overwhelming at first. Heck, I still just space off assignments and if it only happens once or twice the professors are usually nice and give a small extension.

here you go alex, it looks like the surfaces are not the best. you may want to request a replacement for the base. there is a nice scuff mark on it that you can see in the scan
