This is a continuation and a different take on the late 90's fleer work (that UD owns btw) It would only be a knockoff if the company that didn't own the fleer name did it.

The return of the Donruss Crusades approach taken by Leaf is now being taken by UD and the Fleer Precious Metal Gems. A knock off is a knock off. Who ever paid that much for the Jordan is a god damn idiot. It's a good thing Kobe can't be put into this set.

Look reproducing a set is Topps' job, that's why there is the Archives and Heritage sets. UD should be worrying about producing new stuff that is going to generate more revenue than a reproduction set of players in college uniforms.
