Sold it at the 2002 National. Was in the first pack of cards I bought in 2001, the first year back in the hobby since 1995.

Maybe there are other Ruth Bat Cards that sell for as much as this one, but I don't know of em. Last ebay sale (auction-40 bids) was over $250.

Super Card, I love that card and fits well in the Pc. The only other Ruth Bat card that sells for as much or more is the 1999 A piece of history 500 club bt card. The PH version sell in the 600-1000 range and the RT version numbered to /50 sells in the 2000-4000 range. Yea that Ruth card with Ruth in redsox uni would have been hard to sell.

It is the one below for me. I am a life-long Cubs fan, plus it was either my first ever 1/1 that I pulled, or for sure the first ever 1/1 auto I pulled. Not the prettiest card, but I sold it hoping that it would pay for the two boxes of the product I bought, thus making the purchase free essentially. It ended up going for about $35 less than what I had spent on the two boxes, so I was disappointed with that.

You're right about the APOH stuff. Its not numbered but the print run was 100. Coming out of that Red Sox product, i doubt that 50 exist in circulation. That product was just too much of a niche for widespread breakage in my opinion.

Selling my Mike Cameron '98 Donruss Update Red Crusade. 8/25, I believe was the serial #'ing. Or any of my rarer Dan Uggla's, just because I needed funds :\

I go through cycles. Sometimes I care about cards, sometimes I loose interest for a year or more at a time. Therefore, I have a few regrets (when I care)

Favorite current player, Ryan Braun.
Had all 4 qualifiers for an outstanding card, imo.
1. On Card autograph
2. Low serial number (4/8)
3. Dizzying patches (25 breaks)
4. Good looking design.

Within those parameters, I may not find a replacement. I blame having too many hobbies, in particular - the aquarium I bought with the Brauny money.

Do you own it now?

If so, congrats. Glad it went to a good guy (and not some moron whose username rhymes with "twiggy")

Yes and was glad to add it to the collection especially since i prematurely picked it up in hopes that he would continue to play at a high level.

1985 Topps USA Mark McGwire. Of course, 2 years ago, I bought it back for the same price I purchased it as a kid LOL! !

When I originally sold my collection back in mid-2001, one of the crown jewels was a 5K box full of just pre-1980 Topps. I had a near-complete run of 1971 high humbers, near-complete 1974-79 sets, a pack-fresh 1961 Ashburn, 1950 Bowman Pee-Wee Reese, RCs of everyone I collected and lots of other HOFers (Santo, Boog Powell, Gary Carter, Jim Palmer) and 1971 Topps Munson and Ryan. I'm working on the 1971 set again, so it would be nice to have them back. Most of what I had is easy to pick up now, but knowing I had it all and let it go to people that didn't value it as much as I did kinda hurts.

It was in great condition for a 2 except for rounded corners and a date stamp on the back from the time it was pulled from a tobacco pack. I parted with it hoping to get multiple good cards with the funds, but it never worked out that way. Definitely this is the ONE card I for sure miss.

I bought and sold my collection many times in the last 40 years but I have three cards I regret selling. Even though I needed the money for some needed medical expenses for my wife, I would love to have the cards back. I dont "regret" selling them as my wife needed the medical attention but when I think of all the cards I sold over the years these three stick out and can only wish I had them back in hand.

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth (forgot the card number) Would be a PSA 3
1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig (the yellow bacground) Would be a PSA 4
1994 Upper Deck Mickey Mantle/Griffey Jr dual autograph. Pulled it from a pack myself.
