Been thinking about doing this for a while now.

I am thinking we can find 15 to 20 Team Collectors out there that would love to get hands on the newest releases.

We can also do older cases, older boxes, anything you guys would want.

Once you pick a team they would be yours until you no longer want them.

So lets say I take the orioles, they would be mine every break but would need to say yes/no a day or 2 after a break is posted to give others a chance at a team.

Teams would all be the same price.

All unclaimed team hits would go to the hopper and be sent along with your team.

Any questions? Sound good?

MisterT - Red Sox
Prospectorgems - Brewers
pikeman80 - giants
jumbojohnny - Nationals
muskiesfan - Reds
Swannsy - Angels
deujr61 - Cardinals
elemin8 - Royals
promodeltodd - Yankees
ClevelandIC - Indians
TonyGillen - Twins
MeadowbranchJulio - Tigers
King_Felix_4_CY - Mariners
DP33 - Braves
Phillyfan - Phillies

All teams will be the same price for every break. You are allowed to sit out a total of 3 breaks a year. Can not sit out back to back breaks. For high end products we might skip a month to save for the high end break. Your 2nd team will be done randomly every month.

If I decided that I did not want to participate in a particular break, but overall wanted to keep my team - would I lose my team for good after declining one break or lose them for only that one break?

I tried a few times to get into something like this...but since I collect the Red Sox I am usually too late to the party...

Give it a go! I am in.

Great question and that is something that I didnt think of.

I would think that if you want to miss a break and say you will be sitting this one out, that would still be your team. As you are taking a break.

Very interesting... surprised all teams are equal value though but I guess that's the only way to do it... as someone who would be for the Indians, I think the Yankees, Red Sox, etc. provide much more value in nearly every break I can think of lol

I tend to agree with you...but there some VERY angry Yankee buyers after all the TTT breaks were done. (a few happy ones, but mostly not). Just goes to show you, you never know until the packs are opened.

I would think if you are going to be part of the group, you will need to participate in every break and not cherry pick. For example, If you pick the nationals/expos you will have to participate in pre 2010 breaks. We should probably alternate between new products and an older product to make things fair.

So if you step out from a break, you are 1st on the list to get back in, there is a possibility that your team might not get picked up and they would be available the next break.

keep the ideas coming, this is for you guys.

I don't want to lose my team if I need to step out a month. We all know that there is a potential that you may not have the extra funds available one month.

I think stepping out 1 month is fine, but I would limit the amount of times that it could happen.

There are 30 teams, so do 15 spots where they get to pick the team and then randomize the other 15 spots. Then people will be getting an additional, different team each break.

1 month I would get the Reds and maybe my random would be the Indians. Next month, I still have my Reds, but my random might be the Marlins. You can get some additional nice hits from the random team.

I would be tentatively interested in my Royals, but i really hate products like TTT and tribute. Wouldn't be an.issue to sit those out, if I so choose?

If this is how it will be then I will bow out now. I do not participate in high end breaks and therefore if the product was say Triple Threads, I wont be in and I lose my team. I rather not participate at all if I am going to lose my team due to cost of the product.

Go ahead an remove me from the list if this is the way it will be conducted.

My "cherry picking" would be sitting out breaks like tribute. I can tolerate TTT, but I absolutely hate tribute. Has nice cards of Royals players, just cannot stand the product. Something about it drives me absolutely insane. I can honestly say that i do not own a single tribute piece.

I would say we try to keep this low to mid level to keep everyone happy and be able to participate. Maybe just leave TTT/Tier 1/Museum etc to the random breaks.

And if we do end up doing high end we do a few boxes not full cases so everyone can participate.
