Crazy how quickly a franchise can turn around. They move to DC in 05, have some terrible seasons, but ultimately put a couple guys in charge that know what they're doing. These guys make smart draft picks and some good acquisitions, and go from back to back 100-loss seasons in 08 and 09 to almost 100 wins and their first pennant as the Nationals in 2012. And to top it off, now they're stocked with some of the best young talent in the game looking forward.

I think it would be weird to celebrate since they lost tonight's game. But since the Braves lost they won the division.

I think it seems weird to be celebrating at all (considering they wrapped up a postseason spot awhile ago), but when I ponder the screwy new wildcard thing, it makes sense that they should celebrate they'll have at least three playoff games instead of the chance of being knocked out in one playoff game.
