To the video:

I just looked at a random port going back and forth between the new and old site. The old site is much easier to look at.

Maybe it will take some getting used to but definitely not tonight.

It makes sense. I essentially use COMC as a Beckett.

So while I am very disappointed the Beckett pricing, I completely understand the situation. Too bad sellers can still see the pricing, heh.

For what it's worth - the ads are only there if you are not logged in. If you are logged in and have spent money there (as a buyer or seller) you get no ads.

or if you have ad block...

I do a ton of buying on COMC and am VERY disappointed in the new look and the new 0.25 charge per card. I hate the new look of the site, but losing BV is not all that bad. You can still sort by BV and by discount. If you have a general idea of what the market is for a particular player or card set, it isn't difficult to ballpark the BVs and the discounts if you sort by BV.

Beckett's problem is that while their service is a convenience, it is not a necessity. They provide a service that nobody is willing to pay for any more. COMC (and we) will be fine without it. However, COMC will not be fine with the new clunky look and the additional card fees.

Why don't they break down the search by rc, memorabilia cards, serial numbered cards etc on the left side of the screen like beckett marketplace does?

That's the absolute worst part about the new site. I have almost 1900 cards waiting to be shipped to me; if they added the extra 25¢ to each card when I bought it, that would be close to $500 that I would have had to spend to buy the same exact cards. The option to wait and pay for a shipment whenever you wanted was such a great convenience, made bulk buying a lot easier and gave your money more purchasing power. I will certainly be buying a lot less on the new site.

For $500 you could buy a round trip flight there to just pick the cards up yourself and spend a weekend in Washington or whatever state they're in LOL

Apparently you can turn off the 25 cent markup on the purchase price, but I don't understand the downside to it (there must be one).

Profile & Options --> Outgoing Offers --> Advanced Reselling Mode

I see no changes. But then again i have Juan in my favorites and just enter a player name in search. Still has book price on listings.

Right next to the search box at top left, there's the new COMC tab (fruity little logo and all). You can login to the new site through there.

Didn't notice this until just now, but the bulk shipping rates have horribly skyrockted. Through the old site, it would cost me $286.40 for a bulk shipment of all 1900ish cards I need to ship. New site? $471 for the same exact shipping. There's virtually no savings between bulk shipping, standard ($474), rapid ($475.99), or even priority ($478.99)! They're really doing a great job of XXXXing this all up. Any improvements I have seen with the new selling rules (getting to have auto-accept without an upgrade) are being wiped out and then some.
