I'm guessing that people were using COMC as a "price guide", seeing that if the card was on the site, it had a current Beckett book value. Maybe Beckett didn't like this.

I checked out the site. It's not bad. I haven't noticed any crazy negative differences at all. Seems almost the same with small tweaks and differences. People just hate change, but this isn't a move backwards. A lateral move maybe, but certainly not backwards.
I still see the old style. I clicked on the link in one of the first few posts and still just see the old style. Win?![]()
It's not a step backward in features (well, BV), but I'd say it's a step backwards in design.
Well, at least FCB didn't get a crappy new logo.
Oh, and they still have a XXXXty search.
Why can't we search like this? (Player 1, Player 2, Player 3)
If we could search like that I would search the site daily. I don't visit the site often because I don't want to have to do 20 individual searches.
I like that they added the .25 to each card to make it a flat 3.00 on Shipping im a fan of that. I dont mind the site like it is now i dont guess, just a little different than it was!
That's the absolute worst part about the new site. I have almost 1900 cards waiting to be shipped to me; if they added the extra 25¢ to each card when I bought it, that would be close to $500 that I would have had to spend to buy the same exact cards. The option to wait and pay for a shipment whenever you wanted was such a great convenience, made bulk buying a lot easier and gave your money more purchasing power. I will certainly be buying a lot less on the new site.
Eventually the rest of the sites in the card collecting community will realize that change is not always good. BMB 2.0, FCB 2.0, now COMC 2.0.
Not sure why everything has to change. Wonder what site will change next.
