Since this is a Cardinals thread, who's Tyler Rahmatulla? Haven't seen any good sources about him... Your thoughts?

Just got this 2012 Bowman Chrome Orange Refractor from Andrew's (AIC) 5 case break.

Well, I'd move it quick. Not sure how long the organization will keep him around. here's his line

These numbers coupled with being a 3rd baseman in a system filled with promising third baseman probably means release at some point.

Dave Duncan ruined Anthony Reyes. The way that Reyes pitched that worked for him was completly changed and he never made the transition. I blame Dave Duncan 100% for ruining Anthony Reyes carrer, then I am pretty sure Reyes Tommy John Surgery recovery went wrong and he is done for. Also I believe a friend of ours that works at Busch Stadium sister in law is married to him.

At least they got some mileage out of him before he flamed out. It's around the 6th year aniversary he shut the Tigers down in Game 1 of the World Series.I was shocked he pitched so well that game.Miss the flat bill hat and high socks he always wore when he pitched.Painful reminder of yet another promising pitching prospect who crashed and burned on this team.

You really would have paid $125 for that Descalso? You've got to be kidding.

he was horrendous in the field, why I was so shocked with how he played when they called him up.

I couldn't find any defensive numbers in the minors on him, but there's a reason why he only hit .236.He's just not that good.I don't see much of a future with him, and Furcal will be back next year.Jackson has even played better than him.Funny thing is, BA had him as the best defensive infielder in the system for 2 years in a row.

I set the high bid insanely high, hoping it would get no where near that, but I had money at that point and could care less. Would I have been happy paying that no, but there was no way in hell I was losing that card. I have seen 3 of them in over a year. Waintrain owns one, I lost one and I own 1. No way I was letting it slip away. I will post a photo of my Reyes hat later maybe, it is even a flat bill. I owned his Red home hat from his rookie year (pretty sure I had it photomatched mark on the side and the STL was a pinkish color from either being washed or sweat, 98% sure it was a photomatch) also but sold it to a friend of ours because he said he wanted to collect game used hats. Bought it for 25 and sold it for 75 so I made $50 I wish I would have kept it.

I wish MILB kept defensive metrics, because it was ugly here in springfield

Found it on baseball reference

2009 25 errors
2010 34 errors

But then he did turn it around in memphis, pretty amazing change actually

2011 8 errors at short
2012 7 errors at short

I know what you mean.I've been getting outbid on cards I thought I had a good shot at getting.Seems like every time I set my bid at what the card goes for I get outbid 90% of the time.Almost makes me want to put in outlandish high bids so I get it, but I've been disciplined so far.Wow, you made $50 on that hat?Nice score. Was it his World Series hat?Did you get it at the team shop?

Interesting comparison there.Makes you appreciate what Furcal did in the field even more last postseason.

It was not the WS hat or I would have kept it. When I sold it he was still relevant! Im glad I got rid of it now. I also have a Brad Penny Stars And Stripes hat I bought thinking it was Descalso which i want to get rid of. I got them at the Cardinals Care store at Winter Warm Up, they end up with some hats each year. The Reyes I currently own is his 2007 Road Hat, or I think because there was a piece of scotch tape inside of it with the year. I think the WS hats were kept by players or sold by MLB. THe guy I sold that hat to has overspent on some stuff and I think I added a signed baseball or something with it so really it wasnt just the hat but still was around 50 I made.

In 529 minor leage games at short he committed 127 errors. By comparison Ryan Jackson has 427 games at short and only 70 errors

You can see in this pic that his hat was pinkish colored on the STL. Also it may have been done by a team mate as a joke, since rookies are often forced to wear pink. But the hat I had also had his number, the cross and 100 written in it. He also cuts part of the hat out of the inside. All though I dont think the 2006 hat had it cut the 07 does. Probably did not fit and was probably not worn much but.

I also own a John Rodriguez Game Used Hat, it says GOD #1 JROD #53 inside of it. I was also a fan of him.

That sucks someone didn't mark on the hat who wore it.Penny is huge, so his hat was probably the biggest size that are made. How much was it?

Wonder why team chose to play Kozma over Jackson at the end of the year then when Furcal was out?Guess front office knew Kozma was on thin ice and wanted to see what he could do before releasing him.Thing is, Jackson even hit more than Kozma in the minors as well.

I do see the pink tint on his hat.I had not noticed that before during games. The sleeve patch looks like from the '05 final season at Busch Stadium as well, so some rookie prank makes sense. What was cut out of it?

Interesting you bring up Rodriguez.I was watching '06 World Series DVD set I have, and before he came up to pinch hit in one of the games, FOX got a close up of him, and on his wrist band, or some other part of his jersey you could see he wrote some religious quote on it.

He cut out the tags on the back of the hat, like on the inside where the tags are with the size and such cut that whole thing out of the back!. The Brad Penny Hat was $25 and is size 7 3/8. We also have Will Clarks game used Cardinals home hat.
