Taking Ty's recent topic and putting a spin on it. (Hope you don't mind, Ty!)

What moment in sport ripped your heart out? What game caused you to hurt? Who do you hate forever now because they caught that last second pass?

- Mine has got to be the 2008 NCAA Championship game. (For those that don't know, I bleed Memphis Blue). Mario Chalmers 3 at the end of regulation and then losing in overtime. I felt physically sick after that game. Literally speechless. It hurt, and still does.

Like the other thread, if I stick to games that I actually went to, it would easilly be this:

Even though I've always been a Lakers fan (since Kareem), the Sonics during those years were some of the most fun I have had as a basketball fan, and that loss was pretty much unbearable...We were so upset, physically, for days afterwards...

Padres getting swept by the Yankees in the 1998 World Series. The Chargers getting demolished by the 49ers is a close 2nd.

As a 12 year old Bash Brother's fan, had to be Kirk Gibson's home run (along with the rest of the '88 series)!

Mine is football related:

Titans versus Rams, Super Bowl: One. Freaking. Yard. That's all Kevin Dyson needed, was one more yard. It was my first time experiencing heartbreak as a sports fan (until that season, none of the teams I was a fan of had come close to playing in a championship game/series). I was absolutely crushed.

The Fumble
The Drive
The Shot
The Decision
etc.

Personally, I was at the Fiesta Bowl in 2009 when Colt McCoy hit Quan Cosby on a slant with 30 secs left in the 4th to beat the Buckeyes 24-21. Talk about heartbreak.

The Riverlands.
Game five of the 2001 World Series. Gonzalez's hit off of Rivera made me cry (I was 11 at the time.) Also there was a common thought that the Yanks let the city of NY down that year. Gonzalez's hit added insult to injury haha.

The Bengals have been to 1 Super Bowl in my lifetime. This guy thought he had to drive the length of the field and steal the show....
