Maine of course......
Is live now. I haven't seen any Vin autos yet. Anybody hear of anyone pulling one yet.

Autos look very nice- I will target a few and try to refrain from going too crazy. This would have been a set I'd go after, but I have certified autographs of all but a few on the checklist.

I picked up a Lasorda for my HOF collection. He's always been a pain to find and fairly expensive, so it was worth the pick up. I'd also like a Scully, but not sure of the price point on these yet.

when does Panini's price-fixing end - 60 days after release or...? The product looks like it'd be fun to bust to build a base set but not as the inflated prices the boxes are currently selling for (at least on the video box break I just finished watching).

30 days. The set is great--I saw a guy go through a few boxes but there's just no value to it.

I'll start price monitoring in 30 days. Good to hear there is no value in it other than for the fun of setbuilding so I won't be paying too much for the boxes or just buy a hand-collated set in a year or two if my set building desired box price isn't reached.

I absolutely love the look of this set. Great base and inserts. Really wouldn't mind putting it together, but I agree with you guys, it's not worth cracking the wax at the current price point.

I opened a 14 box case and each box has 24 packs of 5 cards. Out of 5 cards, you get 3 base and 2 inserts.. I got 16 autographs in 14 boxes..

I wish Panini had a full baseball license, always liked their inserts before Panini bought them...
IMHO, Their inserts work better for baseball, then in other sports.

Sold mine for $60.
Too cheap?

I'd say so - whoever bought that from you got a steal. Very popular announcer, only 100 copies in COOPERSTOWN, I think I counted less than 10 copies available in other releases. So you are left to very few choices for certified or try to get one of your own IP or TTM if he even is a generous signer with those methods.

Yes, I think you sold it too cheap.. I know there are several members on here that would have given you at least $100..

I opened two boxes and pulled a Dennis Eckersley and an Andre Dawson and the third auto was a sticker of of Cutbert? The box price alone would have warranted the $100.. One of the other guys in the shop pulled a Nolan Ryan that was real sharp looking..

and that is why he is one of your best customers!!

I have been going to the same card shop for over 25 years because the shop I go to they treat me the same..
Even though they could probably get more, they just make me happy and I keep going back..

He's been buying from me since 2003 and he doesn't haggle on prices, sometimes I'm high, sometimes low and sometimes right, It's hard to price rare cards as I normally get them on my website before they are on ebay.
If its too high, he doesn't buy it..
I have to make up the prices. I price by how hard it is to get and how much the product costs etc,
I sold cards to him that have gone down and others that have gone up..

I just list the prices on my website and if he likes the price he buys it, if not he doesn't, but never has he ask me to lower my price...
